Book Distribution Day 2026, A Morning at Kondus Primary
April 11, 20261 min read
A short photo essay from the trust's annual book and stationery distribution at Kondus primary schools, one of the most joyful days on our calendar.
Every spring, before the academic year begins in earnest, we visit a rotating set of primary schools across Kondus and hand out the term's textbooks and stationery kits. It is one of the simplest things the trust does, and one of the things we're most protective of. No speeches, no banners, no press, just the books, the kids, and a quiet celebration of a year getting underway.
This year's distribution covered three schools and roughly one hundred and forty students. Every child left with a full set of textbooks, a notebook stack, pens and pencils, and a small lunchbox, the last one funded by a repeat donor who prefers anonymity and has sent lunchboxes every March since 2022.
Why we document these days
We publish photos partly because donors like to see where their contributions go, and partly because distribution mornings are genuinely beautiful and the kids deserve the record. Faces of children receiving assistance are always blurred or cropped out at the request of families, what we share is the hands, the books, the classroom, the morning light.
Thanks to every teacher, coordinator, and volunteer who made this year's distribution run smoothly. See you next March.
